CÁMARA OSCURA – JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA AND CÁDIZ
Visiting Jerez de la Frontera or Cádiz don´t miss the camera obscura. When we visited last year Jerez, it was one of our highlights. In a private room gathered round what looks like a large satellite dish you will be surprised what you see after turning off the lights, real time 360 degree view of Jerez and surrounding countryside through an optical system, you see people walking, cars driving. So be careful what you do in the city, you me be caught on the camera obscura. In Jerez de la Frontera it´s located in the tower of the Palace of the Villavicencio which is part of the Alcazar and in Cádiz it´s situated in the Torre Tavira.

SHOP TILL YOU DROP
La Cañada in Marbella is the largest shopping centre on the Costa del Sol and our favourite place for shopping. You will find in this American-style mall, with more than 150 shops, everything you could ask for, including food, clothes, electronics and furniture. Fashionistas flock for the clothes with shops like Zara, Mango, Bershka, Pepe, Diesel, Desigual, Hugo Boss, H&M, Benetton, Tommy Hilfinger. And there is also a huge branch of French store FNAC for CDs, DVDs, computers, books. And if you like furniture and decoration take a look at Habitat and Zara Home. You can shop away all day from 10.00 until 22.00, the shops don´t close for siesta. And in the summer months the centre is also open on Sundays. This vast establishment cannot be missed and is situated on the Marbella ring road on the junction for Ojén and offers you free parking.

LOVELY PEDREGALEJO (MALÀGA)
This former fishing village now is a part of the city of Malaga but still with the caracter of a village. You will find Pedregalejo east of the city, along the coast. From the city centre of Malága it will take a 40 minutes walk. You won´t find many tourists here and the only foreigners visiting this area are language students because almost all language schools are located in this area. It has a lovely traffic-free promenade filled with eating and drinking spots and a pleasant laid-back atmosphere where you can spend long evenings or nights on the many terraces with stunning views overlooking the bay of Malaga. In Pedregalejo you have some of the best fish restaurants on the Costa del Sol. And don´t forget to eat the traditional ´espeto´ sardines cooked outside on a skewer at the beach.

EL TORCAL (ANTEQUERA) – IMPRESIONANTE
A beautiful ride takes you to a stunning landscape of eroded rock formations that make you feel like you’re on the moon – El Torcal. To reach the park it is possible to drive up to 1.100 m. above sea level along a good access road into the park. At the parking at the end of the road you will find an information centre and a small museum. Three routes (1.5 km., 2.5 km. and one of 4.5 km.) have been marked outfor walkers. The longest and most difficult route takes about three hours with a viewing point at 1.339 m. up where you can see the Africa coastline. But also for those who don´t like walking, worthwhile visiting.
