flamenco in andalucía
The flamenco has its origen in Andalucía and now is world famous. Where the roots of the flamenco exactly lay is not sure but it was the gipsys expressing there feelings of underpression, pain and sorrow in singing, the cante jonde. Now the flamencomusic has more than fifty styles, called “palos”. Every palo has his own ritme and a different way of movements in the dance. The dances are still ment to show expressions like happines in the alegrias or sadness in the soleares. In almost every city in Andalucía you can visit commercial shows but it is nicer but difficult to find a “tablao” because the best flamenco shows begin spontanious. You can ask in your hotel if they have tips. Some nice free shows are given in Seville in la Carboneria, in Málaga in restaurant Vino Mio or in Alhaurin el Grande in restaurant Santiago del Calvario.
