EL TORCAL (ANTEQUERA) – IMPRESIONANTE

A beautiful ride takes you to a stunning landscape of eroded rock formations that make you feel like you’re on the moon – El Torcal. To reach the park it is possible to drive up to 1.100 m. above sea level along a good access road into the park. At the parking at the end of the road you will find an information centre and a small museum. Three routes (1.5 km., 2.5 km. and one of 4.5 km.) have been marked outfor walkers. The longest and most difficult route takes about three hours with a viewing point at 1.339 m. up where you can see the Africa coastline. But also for those who don´t like walking, worthwhile visiting.

Yesterday we were visiting Alhama de Granada, a small town half an hour from Granada and known for its Arabian baths in the open air. It is really worth a visit. We had a beautiful ride from Veléz Málaga, passing the Viñuela lake and then to Alhama. The town is a bit like Ronda laying on a clif but it is far less touristic and the area is absoluty beautiful to have a nice walk. The Arabian baths are a bit disapointing.
